Pancreatic Cancer UK is very sad to hear the news of Kate's passing. She was an incredible fundraiser.
Come celebrate the wonderful work she did by attending these two events she organised for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
Ladies Day Success
This event was a huge success for the people who attended and the atmosphere was electric.
The Ladies Hat Competition was won by Janet Kelly who will be enjoying the luxury of Sue Shields Beauty Salon at Carnforth. Bottles of Champagne (courtesy of Lakeland Vintners) were won by winning racehorse owners G Bartley, J Rose, J Corkill, J Gilmore, J Kelly, J Millard and C Bennison.
A big thank you to our sponsors - G Farrell , G Bartley, Hadwins of Lindale, Robinson's Florist of Bare , G Helme and Wright and Lord Solicitors. Unfortunately the local MP and councillors had other commitments but Mayor P Woodruffe donated £30.
Next summer it is hoped that the event will be better attended so we do better than break even. A big thank you to The Midland Hotel for making this event possible.
This event will be repeated again next summer as everyone really enjoyed it.
